ingredients
- 18 ounces watermelon, cut into bite-sized chunks
- 18 ounces pineapple, cut into bite-sized chunks
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 -2 tablespoon cilantro
- 6 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- fresh ground pepper
directions
- Place all ingredients except pepper in a bowl and toss to mix.
- Add pepper to taste.
- Chill.

Loved this salad, I enjoyed it twice today, once for lunch and then again at dinner. It was crisp, crunchy and full of flavor. The sweet watermelon and pineapple married well with the onion, vinegar, lime juice and cilantro. My picky husband even finished his bowl. Thanks for sharing another winner. Made for ZWT7 -
Loved it! I scored and found a gold Hawaiian pineapple. So sweet. My grandson was visiting and a couple of his friends stopped by as well. I had just finished making this and it never made it to the dinner table - everyone kept snacking on it and making mmmmm....sounds, lol. Thanks Chocolatl for a great salad.
