“Not your usual way to eat watermelon! Red wine vinegar and red onions spice up your melon like never before. Saw this one in a Southern Living but didn't get to keep the page (I was in a doctors office) Put it together from memory, and it sure was good. A great way to have watermelon with a fork. I used it as a side with a smoked pork but and baked beans, it was the perfect accompaniment!”

  2. thinly slice red onion.
  3. Put both in large bowl
  4. sprinkle with sugar salt and pepper.
  5. pour over red wine vinegar.
  6. toss and chill at least 1 hour.
