ingredients
- 1 cup diced onion
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3⁄4 cup ketchup
- 1⁄2 cup orange juice
- 1⁄2 cup cider vinegar
- 1⁄2 cup whiskey or 1/2 cup Bourbon
- 1⁄3 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄4 cup molasses
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
directions
- Cook onions in butter until soft.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the temperature and simmer for 10 minutes.
- If you would like a smoother sauce, puree with an immersion blender.
