“This recipe was my favorite at a church chili cook-off, so I asked for the recipe. I'm not sure who the creator is, but I will credit the cook, Karen Cheney. An absolutely delicious, spicy, and creamy take on chili.”

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. In a large saucepan, saute chicken, onion, and garlic powder in oil, until chicken is no longer pink.
  2. Add beans, broth, chilies, and spices.
  3. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 30 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in whipping cream and sour cream.
  5. Serve immediately.
  6. Garnish with shredded Colby Jack cheese, diced green onions, and/or a spoonful of sour cream.
  7. NOTE: This can also be put in the crock pot. Saute the chicken and onions and then add them to the crock pot with the other ingredients (except for the creams). Cook on low. A few minutes before serving, stir in the whipping cream and sour cream.
