  • Melt chocolate over warm water.
  • Melt butter.
  • Let both cool.
  • Beat eggs and sugar together.
  • Stir in almond extract, chocolate and butter.
  • Fold in flour, salt and walnuts.
  • Blend thoroughly.
  • Pour into a buttered 12 x 18-inch baking pan and bake in a preheated 325 degrees oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Cool and cut into squares.

  1. I was very excited to try this recipe for my husband who doesn't care for regular chocolate...unfortunately...the filling never cooked. I'm not sure what happened, but I think it needed more flour in the recipe or something. I'll try it again another time. Sounds like it would be delicious.
