  1. Combine 2 cups whole wheat flour, undissolved yeast and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Heat water, milk, honey and butter until very warm (120-130 degrees F). Add to the flour mixture. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed with electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally. Add 1/2 cup flour and wheat bran; beat 2 minutes at high speed. Stir in remaining flour to make a stiff batter.
  3. Place in a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Cover and let rise until double about 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees f and bake 45 min or until done.
  5. Remove from pan and let cool on wire rack.
