fantastic bread. i added about 1/4 c. chopped fresh rosemary to mine and a little extra honey. SO good. rise was excellent. i used the "basic" setting on my bread machine, the "medium" setting for darkness and the 2.5 pound loaf setting. i have a west bend machine.
thanks so much for this recipe!
i used whole wheat flour.

This is a wonderful healthy tasting bread. I most definately will be making this bread again. The only thing I did different was I used white bread flour and I substituted the 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour for 1/4 cup of toasted oat bran. I used butter instead of margarine. I wasn't sure if the butter was to be melted or not .So I slightly melted it It had a very nice texture. I very much enjoyed the sunflower seeds and might add in alittle more next time. Thank you for sharing this great bread recipe.

I am exploring and developing my culinary skills. I enjoy creating things both edible and not. I haven't figured out if I prefer baking or cooking. I also enjoy gardening and have a vegetable garden so we can eat as local as possible.
