1. I have tried so many healthy whole wheat breads, but this is the only one that my family really loves. Like all fresh bread, it's best while still warm, but this loaf stays moist until it is gone (about 48 hours). It's my go to recipe.

 2. fantastic bread. i added about 1/4 c. chopped fresh rosemary to mine and a little extra honey. SO good. rise was excellent. i used the "basic" setting on my bread machine, the "medium" setting for darkness and the 2.5 pound loaf setting. i have a west bend machine.
thanks so much for this recipe!
i used whole wheat flour.

 3. This is a wonderful healthy tasting bread. I most definately will be making this bread again. The only thing I did different was I used white bread flour and I substituted the 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour for 1/4 cup of toasted oat bran. I used butter instead of margarine. I wasn't sure if the butter was to be melted or not .So I slightly melted it It had a very nice texture. I very much enjoyed the sunflower seeds and might add in alittle more next time. Thank you for sharing this great bread recipe.

 4. Great bread! I don't like the shape of the loaves from my machine, so I let the machine do the hard work and then bake-off in a regular bread pan in the oven. Nice crunchy crust and chewy texture. Made a great turkey sandwich. I used ground flax seed. Made for Fall 2009 PAC.

 5. This is a very good, moist bread. I had to use unbleached white flour because that's what I had on hand, but my husband and I really loved the texture and flavor of this bread. I can't wait to try it with different types of flour. thanks for a great recipe!

I am exploring and developing my culinary skills. I enjoy creating things both edible and not. I haven't figured out if I prefer baking or cooking. I also enjoy gardening and have a vegetable garden so we can eat as local as possible.
