  1. I just made these and I thought they were great! I did read the other reviews and added 1 tsp of baking powder and I don't think they were too dense. They are bars so they were nice and chewy and the kids (and I) loved them! And I loved that they had lots of good for you stuff: veggies, the apples and sauce, and the whole wheat flour. Thank-you

  2. I just made these and I wish I had read the previous post before I did. Mine were very flat and dense and I wondered if there should've been baking soda or powder in the recipe but it was accidentally left out? The flavor however is really good. I especially like the addition of the chopped apple. I would probably make these again, but add some kind of levening so they are a little fluffier. Thanks for a healthy treat.

  3. These have fabulous sweet flavor from all the good fruits and vegetables. (I boiled some baby carrots until they were soft. Babyfood carrots would have been a faster way to go.) The texture was, unfourtunately, that of a brick. Being someone who has eaten low fat things for years, it did not bother me too much. But I think next time I'll try to add some baking powder to lighten it a tad. I cut mine into 12 good sized pieces and each was 2 Weight Watchers points. A nice little baked good that stays with you. Thanks so much for posting.
