I made this to eat when company came over and quickly had requests to make it again. No problem, it is delicious. This is the best apple cake I have ever had and simple to boot. The frosting is a wonderful topper to this very moist apple cake. Now if you will excuse me I need to go wipe the droul off of my face and then bake one to eat. Thank you so much for this recipe.

My husband adored this cake, it was a little to sweet for my taste even with rome apples! But it was gone in NO time. I loved the frosting, very unique and easy. Just remember to watch it carefully as it can burn quickly. I will make this again cutting back the sugar, but my husband thought it was perfect just as it was!
