  1. I made this to eat when company came over and quickly had requests to make it again. No problem, it is delicious. This is the best apple cake I have ever had and simple to boot. The frosting is a wonderful topper to this very moist apple cake. Now if you will excuse me I need to go wipe the droul off of my face and then bake one to eat. Thank you so much for this recipe.

  3. My husband adored this cake, it was a little to sweet for my taste even with rome apples! But it was gone in NO time. I loved the frosting, very unique and easy. Just remember to watch it carefully as it can burn quickly. I will make this again cutting back the sugar, but my husband thought it was perfect just as it was!
