Willy Wonka Bars

"From the kitchen of Charlotte Wilson. I found this recipe from Northpole.com and although I haven't tried it yet, I wanted to share it with everyone! NOTE: I added the ounce size for chips and prep time and the pan size as they weren't included. I think it's a good guess but everyone can help adjust."

  1. I made these using this recipe and they turned out great, but the next time I made them I changed just a few things. I melted the butter before I mixed the ingredients for the crust; it made it MUCH easier to stir. Also, I mixed peanut butter with the chocolate when it was melting instead of milk or butter. Overall, this is a very good recipe and they are always a hit when I make them...even better than Reese's peanut butter cups if you ask me!

  2. This was such a great recipe that I had to hide it from myself

  3. So - it all started when I actually looked at the ingredients of my most favorite candy bar ever. CRISPED RICE! Basically, coconut/palm oil, peanut butter, crisped rice and covered in chocolate. Simple. Just saying... Interestingly enough, there's just a little added salt but NO SUGAR added.

  4. These were absolutely awesome! Our 11yo made them when wanting to try making Wonka Bars after reading the book. As another reviewer says, it's MUCH easier to melt the butter (instead of softening). Also, for those wondering what the weights are, 1/2 of a box of powdered sugar is 8 oz., and 1 1/2 packages of graham crackers is approximately 7.25 oz. Enjoy!
