ingredients
- 8 cups torn lettuce and spinach, mixed
- 1⁄4 cup sliced green onion
- pepper
- 3 strips bacon, diced
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
directions
- Put lettuce, spinach, and onions in large bowl.
- Sprinkle lightly with pepper.
- In skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Pour over greens and toss to coat well.

This is a very tasty salad with just the right blend of flavors in the dressing! I used a blend of baby lettuces with herbs and baby spinach. As I had no white vinegar, I sub'ed rice vinegar, which worked nicely. Just the right amount of dressing and great flavor! It balanced out the rest of the big meal very well. Thank you! I will be making this again.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!!
I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch.
We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
