- 1 (4 -5 lb) beef roast
- 2 (10 ounce) cans French onion soup
- 6 potatoes, peeled, quartered
directions
- Brown meat on all sides in iron skillet or Dutch oven.
- Add soup. Cover and cook on low heat on stove for 3 to 4 hours or until roast is fork-tender.
- Add potatoes after meat cooks for 2 hours and continue cooking until done.

I'm a new cooker. We've always eaten out a lot until the last year. I intentionally have been planning and making meals every evening and sitting around the table with the family. I don't care if it's 10:30 at night, we will sit down and eat at the table together. I think it's teaching good nutrion but also keeps us connected.
