  1. Fill a crockpot with boiling water and heat it on low.
  2. Heat the milk in a large saucepan over medium to medium-high heat until it reaches 180 - 200 degrees.
  3. Take off the heat and let it cool to 110 - 115 degrees (you can use an ice bath in the sink to speed up this process). If too hot or too cold, it may not work.
  4. Add 1 cup of milk to the yogurt and stir storoughly. Add another cup of milk and mix well.
  5. Unplug the crockpot and dump out the water. Pour in the cooled milk and yogurt mixture. Stir.
  6. Place the lid on the crockpot and cover with a bath towel. Let it sit out at room temperature for 12 hours., then let it sit in the fridge for another 6-8 hours.
  7. Put a cheesecloth over a colander to drain out the whey, anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour (depending on how thick you like your yogurt to be).
  8. To make the fruit sauce, simmer all the ingredients for 5-7 minutes until thick.
