Yogurt and Fruit Parfaits

"I make these alot during the summer when the berries are fresh and in abundance. You can mix and match almost any type of berry. Very refreshing for when you don't want to cook and are hungry. Kids love them too."

  1. This recipe taste just like the parfaits at McDonald's. I was given some parfait glasses from Princess House but never used them. This looked so pretty in them. We had it as our dessert after our meal. To keep calories down, I used nonfat yogurt. With all the sugar from the fruit, you couldn't tell it as nonfat yogurt. This is such a keeper. My oldest daughter loves the parfaits from McDonald's and now she can make them at home. I will keep frozen fruit in the freezer for the times I don't have fresh on hand.

  2. Good healthy recipe. I used homemade granola and it turned out fine the only thing I wish I had done was to sprinkle a little sugar on the blackberries before adding them because the pint I had was especially tart. Would make again.

  3. I had this as a low fat dessert over at a friends house tonight and this is wonderful. I can't wait to make this for my husband to try. I also think this would make a great low fat breakfast.

  4. Wounderful! I had some blueberries I really needed to use up and I was looking for something I could have for dessert that was a bit lighter and this did the trick. Wen't together in no time and it was absolutely delicious! Thank's!

  5. My kids can't get enough of McDonalds parfaits so I was thrilled to find this money saving recipe. The kids say it's as good as McDonalds

Since my childhood i have LOVED food and cooking. Anything associated with food and cooking. I have an extensive collection of recipes, numbering around 50,000 from various cookbooks, friends and family members that have passed them along. I spend a lot of time cooking and gardening. I am currently working on starting my own catering business out of my home and love incorporating other families recipes in with my own. Right now my husband is the main taste tester. Our son is too young to try anything, but my husband can't wait until he can help eat things. My husband jokes i will need to give birth to a football team to put away the amount of food i cook for him to try. We live in North Carolina and both work for the same company as Networking Engineers.
