  • Line a yogurt strainer, sieve or small colander with three layers of 100% cotton cheesecloth or a clean paper coffee filter.
  • Suspend lined strainer, sieve, or colander over a bowl.
  • Spoon in yogurt.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight.
  • Remove yogurt cheese from strainer; discard liquid.
  • Transfer to a large bowl.
  • Stir in cheese, onion , garlic, and seasoned salt.
  • Cover and chill for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours.
  • Stir in basil just before serving.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl.
  • Serve with vegetables and/or crackers.
