  • Cover 2/3 or apples, quartered, with boiling water and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Rub through a sieve.
  • Add cornstarch mixed with 1 tbs. water. Bring to boil.
  • Add cinnamon and sugar.
  • Remove from the heat.
  • Add the rest of the apples, peeled and shredded, add sour cream.
  • Serve warm or cold with macaroni or croutons agter the meat course.
