I grew up in a small town in New Jersey and most years we had a big garden where I was often found with salt shaker in hand. Then for many years after I married there was no garden so you could find me hanging out at the local farmer's market. I started my cooking career at age 8 when I made my first cake from scratch and making desserts is my avocation, I'm a retired registered nurse in my other life. I have twin daughters, four grand children and two great-grandchildren.I'm inspired by new and unusual recipes. My signature dish is quiche and American goulosh. My favorite kind of foods is Mexican and Italian. My favorite Mexican restaurant is Antojito's, they have the best burritos and their flan is some of the best I have ever tasted.
