I'm a newly health conscious eater. I grew up in a family of sug-aholics, so I've had a serious sweet tooth most of my life. I'm happy to report I've pretty much killed that! Earlier this year I got tired of feeling like I needed a nap everyday and I started to have anxiety issues and I was feeling actually addicted to sugar. So, I got on my knees and through a prayerful "what do I do? I don't like feeling like this!" God told me, "give up sugar." So, in obedience, I did. Just white, refined sugar. I knew I had to find a way to replace it, so I didn't feel deprived. So, I've learned all about natural sugars and I use them regularly. As a result of giving up sugar, I don't feel like a need a nap daily, I don't feel anxious about things, the dark circles under my eyes have diminshed, I've lost 20 pounds, I can think more clearly, and I now eat to live, not the other way around. I feel so much more free. And, I've pretty much given up white flour and I'm learning to cook vegan. That's my current food status. As for me as a person; I'm 27, very happily married to the best man around! He is incredible! And, I'm so blessed to have him in my life! We have 2 of the most beautiful children, ages 3 and 10 months, both boys. They are seriously so cute! And, they keep me super busy, as a stay at home mom. (boys sure are active!) I'm working towards becoming a nutritionist with an emphasis on mental health counseling. Having felt the effects of food on my mental health, I now want to help others with similar situations.
