I am a Corporate Retirement Specialist and financial advisor who cooks to let the numbers fade into the background. I'm not an intuitive cook, use recipes profusely, and love getting tips on better cooking from better cooks. I have several favorite cookbooks but the ones I turn to most often are Cook's Illustrated. They taught me to barbeque during a difficult period in my life and are where I turn when I want to cook something very tasty for guests, and don't mind spending lots of time doing it.
