@Passionate Cook
I started cooking at the age of 12 when my mom thought it was time for me to learn. Believe or not, I did NOT want to cook. After a while, I really got into it. I had an innate ability that I never knew I had until my mom brought it out. My first lesson: scrambled eggs. I was bitten by the foodie bug. As I got older, I started writing my own recipes. I made a potato soup when I was 14. Even after Band Camp, my family requested another batch of the soup. Eventually, I went to school to learn to cater and to broaden my horizons. Cooking and writing novels, poems and songs are 2 of my biggest passions. (I didn't like reading at one time, too, until "The Boxcar Children" opened my eyes.) I was helped through hard times when I barley had groceries. Now, I have more than enough. So, I want to pay it forward by opening my own soup kitchen in my town. With the over abundance of food in America, I think there's no excuse for anyone to go hungry. My profile picture is one of my cakes that is requested a lot when the strawberries are in season. It's a 'Strawberry-N-Cream cake with warm White Chocolate Truffle Sauce'.
