live with 93 year old father who is on 2000 mg per day sodium diet. Learning and experimenting with different recipes that not only are low sodium, but also low in fat and calories. Getting good with the soups, now on to other things. I am an RN, I love animals and I love to cook (and eat, of course). One of my pet peeves is that more people are not salt conscious, and restaurants do not have low sodium offerings. Prepared foods are always very high in sodium and it is a pain to try to find breads, etc., that are low salt. Would love to open restaurant that specializes in that, but probably wouldn't have enough patrons as people really seem to "need" that salt. Too bad for them, literally.
