I live in CT, but have also lived in San Francisco, CA, Denver, CO, and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I grew up in CT and came back to be near family (after starting my own family). I am a college bookstore manager. I enjoy the college campus, it helps to keep me young. I love to cook, my favorite food to eat is Mexican, but I also love Italian food, as that is my heritage. I have dozens and dozens of cookbooks. I love to try new recipes and am usually really good at picking out a recipe that turns out great. Such as many of your listings that have not been rated yet....I can tell by looking at them which ones would be really good. My husband restores british sports cars and we have a collection of MG's and Triumphs. We are members of the local car clubs and attend various car events where we meet lots of interesting people. I love to dance, love to have great dinner parties with lots of good food, love to read and relax on our porch, my favorite getaway is to the beach. We shipped one of our sports cars out to Denver, flew out there and then drove up to Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, down the Calif. coast and across to Las Vegas, and then back to Colorado and flew home and had the car shipped back. That was for our 25th anniversary. It was fabulous. I love to travel. We have 3 sons, 2 are grown, and 1 still at home. The youngest plays soccer which means we go to lots of soccer games. We have a great time with the other parents, one of which is an executive pastry chef and he indulges us with these sinfully delicious desserts!!! Oh my!! How lucky are we? One pet peeve that comes to mind is when there is a bake sale at school or in the community and 9 out of 10 people bake brownies from a box... I am a from-scratch kinda girl myself. I like everything to be fresh and homemade. This does not mean that I never use a mix or box, they certainly do have their place.
