Beer cheese
Beer cheese originated in Germany, but is now known worldwide. Produced in America with cow's milk (mostly in Wisconsin), it is a quite pungent, salted cheese. It ripens for a period of seven months in highly humid conditions. Germans dip this cheese in beer as a tasty snack. Beer Cheese is also known as Bierkaese or Weisslacker.
