Adidas Releases Puke-Proof Shoes for Oktoberfest
Here’s hoping that you won’t actually need the brand’s newest feature.

September 5, 2017 — Oktoberfest wouldn’t be Oktoberfest without a bit of spillage and overindulging. While we would endorse neither spilling your beer nor drinking too much of it, we believe that the International Scout motto, “Be Prepared,” is as applicable to German beer festivals as it is for desert island survival. Apparently sneaker brand Adidas feels the same way, because their swank new sneaker is designed especially for surviving overzealous toasts, mustard drippage and your drinking buddy’s tummy juice.
The Adidas München Made in Germany shoe, inspired by the traditional leather pants (lederhosen) worn in Bavaria, was released on September 2nd. Unfortunately for all of us, the shoe (worth the equivalent of around $240) is now sold out. That can’t stop us from admiring the embroidery—added to match the styling on your lederhosen—as well as the “discreet (sic)” PROST (German for “cheers”) embossed next to the signature Adidas stripes. But the most important feature is of course the DPBR coating, which protects and gives them an upper that is “durable puke and beer repellent.” No need to worry about the elements ever again, these kicks have got your back through rain, snow, sleet, mud and beer.
If you can get your hands on a pair of these bad boys, we’ll raise das boot to your health. PROST!
