This Season, Your Pint Glass Will Celebrate Your Team's Touchdowns

But alas, your relationship is more important, so you sit at the table, your soul being crushed by curiosity. Well, pal, does Bud Light have just the thing to help you out of this pickle.

In celebration of the NFL’s season opener at Gillette Stadium on Thursday, the light beer company will be distributing Bluetooth-enabled pint glasses to attendees which will light up when the New England Patriots (the home team and defending champions, if you weren’t aware) score a touchdown. Commemorative Pats 5X Super Bowl Champions glasses and generic NFL glasses (which can light up for any team in the league) are available to buy now, whereas other team-specific glasses will be available in November.

How does it work? you might be asking. Well now, the glass connects to the Bud Light Touchdown Glass mobile application on your phone, because everybody needs an entire dedicated app especially for their Bud Light Touchdown Glass. Every time your favorite team scores, the electronic device in the bottom of the glass lights up, letting you know that it’s time to drink one down (a Bud Light, of course) in celebration. As long as you’re within 30 feet of your phone, that is.

No TV? No Problem. Your new favorite drinking apparatus will keep you informed. Just try not to knock over the dining room table when you jump out of your seat in excitement.
