The Churro Hot Dog is Now a Thing. A Weird, Beautiful Thing.

Stale stadium fare—think soft pretzels and soggy fries—is soon to be a thing of the past with the introduction of the churro hot dog. Yep, you read that right.

The “Churro Dog”, which will be available at the Arizona Diamondback’s Chase Field this season, consists of a long, chocolate glazed donut bun, filled with a churro “dog” and topped with frozen yogurt, whipped cream, and caramel and chocolate condiments.

The gluttonous treat, which will set you back $8.50 and 1,117 calories, comes as a follow-up to the success of last year’s crazy Diamondback concession—an 18-inch bacon-and-cheese stuffed corn called the D-Bat Dog, which was wildly popular despite costing adventurous ballpark eaters a hefty $25.

Comparatively, the Churro Dog is a bargain, setting you back just $8.50, 1,117 calories… and possibly your dignity.

Can’t make the trek to Arizona? Grab a chocolate donut from the supermarket and whip up your own churros and frozen yogurt for the ballpark experience at home.
