If Harold and Kumar were real, they’d definitely be planning another one of their drug-fueled trips for October 8th, because White Castle is dropping an epic new menu item, for one day only.

As part of a charity raffle in partnership with the autism research organization Autism Speaks, the burger chain—known for its gaudily regal facades and giant cases of burgers—auctioned off the chance for one lucky bidder to join the White Castle test kitchen in creating an all-new, extra-craveable burger. The lucky winner was a man named Rich Lerner. His creation? The “Chipper.”

"When they first announced I had won, I initially thought, 'I couldn't possibly change the recipe, the Original Slider is too perfect as it is!" Lerner said. "But once I arrived at White Castle's test kitchen and met with the Head Chef, I was inspired to draw from some of my favorite items off the menu and produce this simple, yet delicious sandwich. The whole experience was a dream come true!"

A dream come true is right! We should all be so lucky to create our very own White Castle burger. Lerner’s big idea? Stack that bad boy high with little itty-bitty grilled onions and squeeze on the ketchup. Giggity giggity.

Will the Chipper be a big draw? One should hope so: Lerner and White Castle have each pledged to donate 10 cents to Autism Speaks for every burger sold.
