Shrink Plastic Movie Flair Pins
Roll out the red carpet with these easy DIY pins.

Materials for the pins
Prep time: 1 hour
Total Time: 7 hours (depending on glue)
• Shrink Plastic (inkjet printer compatible)
• Printable pin template 1
• Printable pin template 2
• Inkjet printer
• Scissors
• Clear glaze (optional)
• Strong jewelry-making glue
• Pinbacks
• Free printable display cards
1 PRINT THE TEMPLATES
Download our free printables (template 1 and template 2) for a fun array of movie-themed pin designs. Load shrink plastic into printer, follow included directions and print out our designs.
2 CUT OUT THE DESIGN
3 BAKE THE DESIGNS IN THE OVEN
Follow directions on shrink plastic for baking (usually on a piece of paper for about 5 minutes at around 275 degrees).
4 FLATTEN THE CUTOUT
Once the pins have baked in the oven, pull them out and press down with another piece of paper for a few seconds, until cool, to get them really flat.
To protect the pins and make them waterproof, optionally spray them with a clear glaze.
5 GLUE THE PIN
Glue pin backs to the back of each pin with a strong jewelry-making glue. (A high temperature hot glue gun will also work, and be ready immediately.)
Allow the glue to dry for 6 hours.
6 GIFT & WEAR
Affix to the free printable display cards and gift them to party guests or wear a few on your sleeve!
