Reviews

 1. Quick easy. Added extra spices to the batter to suit our taste. Num

 2. I read other reviews and made sure to hold each nugget over the oil for a few seconds to drain it before letting it sit on some paper towel as it cooled. Turned out nice and crispy; recipe reminded me of battered halibut. If you're doing this to be healthy and want a little more flavor, use a couple tablespoons of vinegar as your dip ;)

 3. Quick and very easy, but not much flavor.

 4. It's great, light and tasty.

 5. My whole family enjoyed these! Very easy and tasty! Thank you!

Tweaks

 1. I made these hoping to wean my two picky eaters off the commercial nuggets, and while these were easy to make and I thought that they were ok, DH and both kids were less than fussed. DH said not nearly enough salt (I followed the recipe , but DH likes his salt) and the two little ones were brutally honest, DD said not as good as a usual ones Mama? and DS, a toddler of few words, simply pushed his plastic plate off the edge of the table onto the floor. (Thats the Thanks we get for trying to feed them real? chicken instead of pulverized rubbish full of preservatives etc). I did have one problem apart from the 3 critics in the household, and that was that while the batter was nice and crunchy when it came out of the fryer, it very rapidly became quite soft, so may be the feel appeal? wasnt quite close enough to the commercial ones to successfully fool them. Please see my rating system, Im giving this 3 stars because it didnt work for us and my search for home made chicken nuggets continues. If you have less picky eaters at your place, then give this a try. It was definitely worth giving a go, Thanks Tuna sushi !

my flickr page: http://flickr.com/photos/tunasushi Hey there! Thanks for stopping by to look @ my profile :) I'll be 15 on the 11th of September 2006....Ive been using Zaar for quite a while now and I've made tons of friends so far...... I started cooking when I was umm....12 and a half and Ive been in love with it ever since...My first project was the classic batch of brownies. I used a pan that was too big and I got really really flat brownies.....For the frosting I used granulated sugar and had crunchy frosting haha..... Ive gotten much better since then! I tend to get discouraged very easily if something I make does not come out like it was expected to....I can even get depressed over it..... I have plans on going to Le Courdon Bleu Sydney in mid 2008 and completing the Grand Diploma there...... This is my cat Kiara. I found her in the backyard when I was 10, and I started feeding her toast and grape jelly. She's on a normal cat's diet now haha. This is Pluto, and sadly he went missing just before Christmas.... The small pic is when I was 4, and the other is a recent pic :) Lookin a bit mad...hehe
