Questions & Replies

  1. Could you give us the option for smaller font and option to not print the nutrition? I print recipes and when I print from your website it takes 2 to 3 pages to print an eight ingredient recipe. This one takes 2 sheets and it is a simple one.

  2. Can I make this early in day and reheat for dinner so am not cooking while company is here?

  3. Can this recipe be made with fresh potatoes and if so how many would be required?

Reviews

  1. Super easy, very flavorful. I did cook the sausage with the onions ahead of time, I also doubled the recipe and used chicken stock instead. Will definitely make more often in the fall!

  2. Yum!!! :D

  3. When you're in the mood for a quick, flavorful soup, this recipe fits the bill. The inclusion of sausage helps to give depth of flavor that makes the soup tase as though it cooked for hours on the stove.

  4. Bland and boring. Won't make this again.

  5. We loved this quick chowder! I used Andouille sausage which added a nice kick, and substituted smoked paprika for the Cayenne. As some other reviewers suggested, I added veggies for color and nutritional value (yellow bell pepper, celery, carrot) and a handful of grated sharp cheddar with the addition of the cream. Delicious!

  2. We've made this twice in the last couple of weeks. My 13yo loves it! Each time I've used diced real potatoes and its worked out just fine. The first time I subbed skim milk for the cream - the second time I used fat-free half and half which worked out just as well. DH and I add a sprinkle of fresh black pepper and we are set!
