Alpine Turkey or Chicken Casserole

    cups diced cooked turkey or 4 cups cooked chicken
  • 2
    cups sliced celery
  • 2
    cups toasted bread, cubes
  • 12
    cup milk
  • 14
    cup chopped onion
  • 1
    teaspoon salt
  • 1
    (8 ounce) package sliced kraft natural swiss cheese, cut into strips
  • 14
    cup toasted almond

DIRECTIONS

  • Combine all ingredients.
  • Pour into a greased baking casserole dish.
  • Bake, covered, for 10 minutes at 350.
  • Remove cover and bake an additional 25-30 minutes, or until cheese melts but does not burn.
  • If you don't like your celery"crunchy" you'd want to brown it in some butter beforehand and then continue with recipe.
