  • Cream together sugars and shortening.
  • Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Stir in dry ingredients alternately with sour cream.
  • Fold in apples, nuts, and raisins.
  • Drop by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 325° about 8-10 minutes or until light brown.

  1. This is a great recipe, easy, and healthy - I switched it up a bit, used butterscotch chips instead of raisins. Soft cookies, they are great to freeze a dozen for later. AND I cut the recipe in half using recipezaar's conversion link - I still got 4 dozen cookies. Anyways, thank you Charlotte J., for this recipe!!
     
  2. This recipe was really easy, and delicious!! The cookies do spread so leave a little room. They stay soft, this is not a crunchy dunking cookie. It makes 5 or 6 dz. LeeAnn Lynch-Illinois
