Ingredients Nutrition
- 2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 4 tablespoons shortening
- 8 apples, peeled and grated
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions
- Mix first 7 ingredients to make a dough.
- Roll out on floured surface to a rectangle.
- Spread with grated apples.
- Roll up like a jelly roll and cut into 1-1/2 in slices.
- Make a syrup with sugar, water and cinnamon.
- Place in bottom of 13x9in pan.
- Lay dough slices on top.
- Bake at 350* for 45 minutes.
