SOUR CREAM PASTRY
- 1 cup pillsbury best all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄3 cup crisco butter shortening
- 3 tablespoons sour cream

FOR THE FILLING
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 1⁄2 cups applesauce
- 1⁄4 cup butter-flavored Crisco shortening
- 3 eggs

- SOUR CREAM PASTRY: Combine flour, sugar and salt in a medium bowl. Cut in shortening with pastry blender or two knifes untl mixture resembles corase crumbs. Add sour cream mixing with a fork until particles are moistened and cling together. Form dough into a ball.
- Roll on a lightly floured board or pastry cloth to a circle at least 2-inches larger than an inverted 9-inch pie plate. Fit into pie plate. Trim edges of dough leaving a 3/4 inch overhang. Fold edge under. Flute dough as desired.
- FOR THE FILLING: In a medium mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, applesauce, butter flavored Crisco, and eggs. Blend thoroughly with wire whisk. Pour into prepared pastry.
- Bake at 425F for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature or 350°F Bake for 20-30 minutes longer, or until center is set. Cool completely. Top with whipped cream, if desired.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
