I did something wrong when making these bananas. They had a nice honey flavor but a strong lemon flavor that didnt work to well for me. The bananas also turned black and mushy. Next time I will turn the bananas cut side down in the baking dish. Four stars for the flavor of the bananas and an easy recipe to make. I am sure the sour cream would be a wonderful addition. Made and reviewed for ZWT 4.

This was wonderful. I was a bit skeptical of the sour cream, but it surprisingly works quite well with the baked bananas. It's really easy to prepare, and I'll consider this recipe the next time I have a stack of over-ripe bananas (instead of the usual banana bread). I could easily get used to having this at least once a week. Yum. Thanks, Lavender Lynn. Made for Culinary Quest 2017 (Central America).

I was very intrigued by the flavour combination of bananas and lemon. The recipe was simple to make and I kept tasting and thought hum, perhaps not my favourite combination. The next bite it became 'this is a little odd but really quite tasty'. I went back and forth between these two thoughts until I realized I had cleaned my plate. :) I was dying to throw a shot of rum in there! Mad for CQ4
