  1. What a great, easy recipe. Made this for breakfast on Sunday and my family applauded! Very rich-tasting and greater than the sum of its parts. This could easily be dessert. A keeper.

  2. Even tho French toast is usually breakfast, I fixed this for dessert. VERY VERY VERY GOOD!!! Will fix again, since it is quick and tasty! Thanks, Caroline

  3. I used peaches to make this french toast and it was so good. Very easy to put together and looks like a lot of work went into it. Perfect for brunch!

  4. This was horrible! I followed the recipe precisely. Way too much nutmeg. IT dominated the flavors. Way too much liquid - milk and eggs. And so much cinnamon and sugar on top! the recipe says to preheat the oven to 400 degrees but then later it says to bake at 350 degrees. I used 350 and baked for 55 minutes until the edges looked like they were getting dark. But maybe that was all that cinnamon. so the texture was gooey. The flavor was nutmeg and the overall experience was an enormous disappointment and waste of a lot of high quality ingredients. I'd give it a zero star if I could.

  5. I used reduced-fat cream cheese, skim milk, no nuts and I omitted the sugar since there is already maple syrup. It's very yummy. Even DH likes that (and usually he doesn't care of cream cheese). Thanks Nimz. Made for Gimme 5 tag game

I was one of the original members of Recipezaar that was truly a community of individuals that enjoyed each other in forums and chat rooms. I've been a member of this site since 2003. Made some tremendous friends that I still think of often. I'll continue coming here because my recipes are here and so many more that I tried over the years as a member. It's just a tad boring now and just another recipe site like all the rest. Sad.
