  1. I had a light dinner and was still a little hungry afterwards, so I made this shake. It left me satisfied without having to eat anything else. It was good, but I think I put too much peanut butter? Otherwise, a nice and healthy snack!

  2. Very delicious! Never would have guessed peanut butter and bananas together...nice!

  3. Very good! I am pregnant and needed a healthy sweet fix- lucky all the ingredients were in my kitchen! My little girl thanks you!

  4. This was excellent! We didn't have our bananas frozen, so we threw in some crushed ice. It was great! A quick, healthy breakfast, and a nice way to get non milk drinkers their milk! We will make this again and again, thanks for sharing!

Tweaks

  1. This was great. My husband accidentally left the bananas out of the chest freezer (he was looking for his darn Texas Toast in the wrong freezer) and forgot to put them back in. So they were thawed when I used them but I compensated by added a cup of ice. I also added extra peanutbutter and a bit of cardamom. And I used amber agave nectar instead of the honey. This dissapeared really fast and the little guys keep bringing the stuff to make more. Definately a healthy keeper. My husband mentioned this might be good poured over oatmeal or something. RECIPE SUBMITTED BY

I'm a stay at home mom with 3 adorable children-an 8 year old daredevil son, a 5 1/2 year old princess and a wild little 2 year old girl! I love to cook, and like having my little helpers in the kitchen! I usually love recipes that are completely from scratch (I still love them actually) but right now my focus is on having any kind of food ready by mealtime! It's a little crazy here lately. Every summer we have a huge organic garden, apple orchard and raspberry and blueberry patches, along with a woods full of wild foods waiting for me to learn what they are so I can collect them. I'm learning about wild mushrooms first, so if anyone has any tips, let me know. We also eat wild venison which my husband and I hunt ourselves. It's our favorite meat, since it's lean, organic and cheap! Some of my hobbies are: hiking, biking, rock climbing, gardening, playing in the water with my kids, or just swinging in the hammock with a good book. I go stir crazy if I spend too much time inside.
