  1. This was a quick recipe to get together, which was great on the busy day I made it. Using a slow cooker really allowed the sauce to flavor the hot dog pieces -- we all liked the flavor, especially the kids. I did add a little dash of onion powder and garlic powder, and I served it over rice so we could enjoy every bit of the really delicious sauce. Thanks for sharing this versatile recipe!

  2. The kids gobbled these up and they were great. Thanks. Made for PRMR!

  3. Served this over rice cutting down to 1 lb. hot dogs, but keeping the amount of sauce ingredients as written. Will make a thicker sauce next time and add cut up green bell pepper and maybe pineapple chunks. Sauce is great! Thanks for the recipe.

  4. These were fantastic! I made them as a main, made exactly as written, and served them over rice. This was a hit with my kids! Thanks for sharing! [Made for PRMR]

  5. I made these on the stovetop and just put everything in, and slow simmered for about an hour. I used apricot preserves, but any kind would work. I like the other reviewers idea to add pineapple chunks to the mix as well. The taste is like baked beans, but hot dogs only. I can also see using the sauce for grilling chicken, pork, etc. Very good blend of flavors, thanks for sharing.
