directions

  • Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl.
  • In a small bow, sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to wet ingredients, just to combine.
  • Stir in chocolate.
  • Bake at 350 for 17 minutes. Cookies will seem underdone, but do not let brown on top.

Questions & Replies

  1. Can you make these without adding the chocolate chunks?

  1. I've never had a better cookie--our absolute favorite. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. A great cookie recipe!

  2. My kids and husband loved these cookies! Had to put most of them in the freezer so I would stop eating!

  3. Another winner from Ina -- I love her recipes! I used my largest cookie scoop (a little bigger than golf ball size balls of dough) and made 33 cookies, with Costco's Natural Peanut Butter and Nestles Chocolate Chunks. The cookies did not spread much, so midway through the baking I used a small spatula to press them down to about 1/2-inch high, yielding perfectly round cookies about 3-1/2 inches in size. Rich peanut-buttery taste and slightly crispy, chewy texture -- tastes yummy and great for gift-giving! Mahalo for posting!

  4. Good recipe except mine were done in 11 minutes...

  5. Excellent. I used chunky peanut butter and my scoop to make balls..even though the recipe didn't say to chill I did for a few hours. I Then flattened them slightly with a fork dipped in sugar. 14 minutes in the oven let them cool slightly on sheet then to a rack.. i didn't have unsalted butter so I used regular. I didn't alter the recipe and they were perfect..
