1. I'm severely allergic to mushrooms so substituted thinly sliced fresh broccoli and tagué as main veggies to accompany my baby asparagus tips and onion. I used a generous amount of freshly grated root ginger, increased the garlic and also the amount of oyster sauce as we love strong flavours.I initially wanted to try this on our fussy kids, but fate intervened when they ate with friends last minute instead, the upside of this was that DH and I got to keep all of this to ourselves.
This has low key flavours, milder than we are used to, but was still very tasty indeed. It is also an ideal introduction of these flavours to the more fussy we need to please and it's a very healthy meal that cooks up in next to no time at all.
Please see my rating system: I'm awarding five stars here for speed and ease of making, economy, flexibility of the ingredients (but I can highly recommend the asparagus) and that fact that it's suitable for a broader type of palette. I will be trying this on my kids soonest!!! .. and eating it often myself no matter how the kids end up liking it. Great, easy, versatile recipe, Thanks!
