  1. Wonderful! Even the picky kid loved it! I used stew meat and cooked it for about 6 hours on low and it was perfect. Thanks so much!

  2. Talk about comfort food!! I had my husband make this for dinner yesterday...didn't change any of the ingredients, but he started it too early and it actually cooked for about 7 hours on low; but it still turned out great. The meat was fork-tender, and the gravy had a really good taste; went perfect with the egg noodles! This will probably be a regular in our house now; even our 21-month old daughter loved it. Thanks for a great & easy recipe.

  4. I made this recipe exactly as written. It tasted good, but the smell was a little hard to overlook. It just didn't smell good to us. I will probably make this again, but definitely not for guests as the smell permeates the house and I would be afraid the smell of the dish would put them off. Thanks!

  5. Taste was very good but I would like a more tender meat that maybe would fall apart.

Tweaks

  1. As we live in England, I substituted Beef gravy concentrate for the Lipton onion soup mix, which was lovely. I added some vegetable stock for flavour and it was very good.

  2. Excellent, quick recipe. I even over-cooked the meat an hour, and it still tasted great. Did not have the Cream of Mushroom soup, so I used Cream of Celery instead. Yummy!
