This makes a quick, tasty and satisfying meal. I made it exactly as stated other than adding fresh mushrooms in place of the canned. I just sauteed them along with the ground beef, onion and green pepper. I felt that it could use a little more flavor, however, and might add some additional seasonings the next time I make it. I had very limited ingredients on hand and decided to give this recipe a try. Instead of canned tomato soup, I used a quart of homemade tomato soup, which resembled tomato juice. I also substituted the green pepper with a 4.5 oz. can of green chilis. I used sharp cheddar for the cheese. The result was absolutely delicious...which surprised me, because I wasn't expecting this to be anything special. Since I don't have anymore homemade soup, I will used tomato juice next time. Thanks for a tasty recipe!
