- 1 lb beef stew meat
- 3 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
- 2 cups water
- 5 ounces dry red wine
- 3 3⁄4 cups frozen stew vegetables
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 3⁄4 cup frozen peas
directions
- heat large pot with olive oil on medium. Add garlic (3 large cloves)
- Add meat. Brown meat in garlic olive oil.
- Add bullion and 1 1/2 cups of water, wine and season to taste (all purpose seasoning, thyme, pepper and a couple of bay leaves are suggested).
- Simmer for an hour.
- Add vegetables. heat until vegetables are hot (15 minutes)
- mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup of water.
- Add to the mixture, stir until thickened.
- Add frozen Peas.
- When peas are hot, serve.
