- 473.18 ml rice
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 star anise
- 0.30 ml cardamom
- 1 clove
- 4.92 ml cumin
- 4.92 ml coriander
- 4.92 ml Madras curry powder
- 0.61 ml fennel seed
- 4.92 ml ginger, crushed
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 29.58 ml butter
- 2 onions, diced
- 453.59 g steak, tenderized so it doesnt have to cook as long
- 4.92 ml turmeric
- 1 potato, diced
- 1 green chili pepper, minced
- 946.36 ml beef broth
- 4.92 ml salt
- 4.92 ml pepper
directions
- soak rice in water 1/2 hour , drain
- in pan melt butter add clove star anise fennel
- brown a minute
- add garlic and ginger
- brown add onions add beef and brown may need to add a little more butter
- add spices
- and brown
- add potato
- brown a little
- add broth
- add rice drained
- and green chili
- add salt and pepper
- cover and simmer 20 minutes until rice is cooked.
