  1. My mom has been visiting and I made this for breakfast for the two of us. We both thought it was very delicious. Had a great berry flavor, as well as being thick and creamy--just what we like in a smoothie. Made a very filling and tasty breakfast. Thank you for sharing this.

  2. This was a great tasting treat! However, we both thought that for us personally it was a better mid-morning meal supplement than an actual breakfast (we decided we didn't prefer frozen first thing in morning). The one substitute I used was a frozen berry meddly with four berries instead of the two. Yummy!

  3. This is too good to be true. A MUST try!! You will want to make it again and again!

  4. Good! I made a couple of minor changes. Used 3/4 c vanilla Greek yogurt and 1 1/4 c milk. Reduced honey to 2T though 3T would have been good, too, and not overly sweet. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

  5. One of the best smoothie recipes I've tried in a long time. Have also made it with strawberries & blueberries in place of the raspberries and blackberries. Also I throw in a banana from time to time. I do not like bananas and the taste was wonderfully masked, so you get the nutrients w/o the taste, and it helps thicken the drink a bit. Don't recommend going without the orange zest--it is really what sets this recipe apart and gives it a great zing!

Tweaks

  1. This was very good, instead of the orange zest, I used 1/2 cup of orange juice and cut the milk in half as well & I topped with light whipped cream (cool whip light) - then, I mixed it into the smoothie - great for after dinner instead of a high calorie dessert, thanks!
