This was a great tasting treat! However, we both thought that for us personally it was a better mid-morning meal supplement than an actual breakfast (we decided we didn't prefer frozen first thing in morning). The one substitute I used was a frozen berry meddly with four berries instead of the two. Yummy!

One of the best smoothie recipes I've tried in a long time. Have also made it with strawberries & blueberries in place of the raspberries and blackberries. Also I throw in a banana from time to time. I do not like bananas and the taste was wonderfully masked, so you get the nutrients w/o the taste, and it helps thicken the drink a bit. Don't recommend going without the orange zest--it is really what sets this recipe apart and gives it a great zing!
