directions

  • In deep bowl mix all marinade ingredients.
  • Marinate at least 2 hours.
  • Remove from marinade and cook over medium-high heat on greased grill for no more than 15 minutes or until done. Cooking time for second side is shorter by 1-2 minutes. 3/4" or thinner, 5-6 minutes maximum per side, thicker than 3/4" 6-7 minutes maximum per side. DO NOT OVER_GRILL, chops will become tough. After 2 minutes grilling on a side, rotate chops 45 degrees for even cooking. Turn over when juices pool on upper surface and meat appears to be cooked half-way through.

Questions & Replies

  1. someone asked a question which was never answered and I agree with the concern. You ask for 3 tablespoons of lemon pepper seasoning which seems way too much, did you mean 3 teaspoons? Not going to waste chops if this is not answered and the ingredient is wrong.

  2. The photo doesn't match the description. It shows being cooked in a pan, not on a grill. Also what is the green stuff in the photo? Not in the ingredients list...

  3. Can you eliminate the lemon pepper for kids? Not sure if mine would like the pepper. What could I use In its place? Thanks for the help!

  4. Can I use olive oil instead of vegetable oil.

  1. WOW!!!!! These are soooooo good! I only let them marinate for 2 hours and they were great. I would, however, marinate them for longer as the flavour would be better. I took one of the other reviewers advice and cut back on the oil. As well, I added one more garlic clove (love garlic!) Thanks for posting this, I will definately make this again!!!

  2. I do not usually like pork chops because they are so dry. These were absolutely marvelous. The marinade on these made them so very moist. I did marinade the chops for about four hours. My teenaged son thought that they were wonderful. That is quite a compliment.

  3. The marinade was delicious! I think next time I will marinade for longer than 2 hours though. GREAT marinade, thanks!

  4. This is a great marinade! I used it on chicken as well. It is really good for grilling skinless chicken because the marinade adds fat so the chicken doesn't burn. I think the next time I make it, though, I will reduce the amount of oil.

  5. Fantastic and easy recipe. I marinaded them over night and they were delicious.

Tweaks

  1. I used pork tenderloin instead of pork chops. It turned out very good. It was one of the best grilled pork tenderloins we have ever had. Thanks!

  2. Less Lemon Pepper seasoning.

  3. I used low sodium soy sauce, and fresh lemon and fresh ground black pepper in place of the lemon pepper. Very good!

  4. - added 4 tbsp adobo seasoning to sprinkle on cutlets (this amount was enough to cover both sides of 8 cutlets)

  5. Its getting extremely warm where i live and my partner and i wanted to find a good recipe for grilling pork chops to minimize the heat comming out of our kitchen. However we didnt find a good recipe...we found a GREAT recipe!!!!!!!! The marinade was soooo easy and even more delicious! We made them last night for dinner and had some unexpected freinds over and they were such a hit!!! We are using the marinade for bbq chicken breast tonight because it was that good! The only i did different was substitute olive oil for vegetable oil.
