  • Place pork tenderloin in large ziploc bag.
  • Peel and lightly crush garlic.
  • Add garlic and ginger to bag.
  • Whisk together soy sauce, olive oil and brown sugar in medium mixing bowl.
  • Pour over pork tenderloin.
  • Marinate in ziploc bag in fridge for up to 3 days.
  • (3 days= the most tender pork you've ever had) Remove from bag and discard marinade.
  • Grill on BBQ or broil in oven until medium (about 15 minutes).
  • Very dark and tasty with a light pink centre.
  • Great over rice or with baked potatoes and grilled asparagus.

  1. I used this recipe for the 4th of July get together for 24 people. Course I have to increase this by 3rd's because I had about 12lbs. to get ready. This is the most fantastic recipe for port tenderloin it was moist and tender, the flavor was outstanding. Needless to say I didn't have any leftovers. Thanks so much for this wonderful recipe. It is a keeper in my house.
     
  2. The recipe is for "pork tenderloin" but the picture shows a grainy "pork loin" which is simply a pork chop without the bone.

  4. Excellent recipe. I marinated it for 2 days and the result was a very tender meal. The flavours combined very nicely. Next time I might cut back to 3/4 C soy sauce as for my personal preference I found it a little salty even though I used low salt soy sauce.
     
  5. Excellent recipe. Easy to prepare and the finished dish was tender and delicious. I let the pork marinate for 2 1/2 days and broiled it in the oven. The marinade formed a tasty crust. Will do it again. For now, I have the similar pork recipe from Rodger (#31303) marinating in the fridge.

Tweaks

  1. The taste so good don't need any sauce or gravy on the tenderloin. Used less EVOL.
     
  2. Try using light soy sauce to cut back on the salt.
     
  3. Used less soy sauce and added pineapple juice and mirin.
     
  4. Was universally scarfed down by a family of picky eaters! I thought it was a bit salty, even though I used low sodium soy sauce and substituted some pineapple juice for the soy sauce. I substituted 1/4 tsp ground ginger for the fresh ginger. I marinated for almost 2 days. But DH thought the flavor was very good and two children asked for seconds ~~ an unusual occurrence. Will definitely make again. Thanks for posting.
     
  5. Emilyrae...what a great recipe!!! We like ours a tad sweeter, so I tweaked it a bit. I added 1/4c. pineapple juice, decreased the soy sauce to 3/4 cup and substituted 1/4 tsp ground ginger for the fresh ginger. Was only able to marinate for 3-4hours, but that was just fine!!! Grilling wasn't an option here in raining, yucky Indiana, so I broiled it. It was absolutely fabulous. 4 teenage boys ended up here at meal time, so we had to share:-) All 7 of us were amazed at the great flavor and juiciness of this. It is a keeper, for sure. Thanks!
