"This is a lovely hot cider...served in a warm mug and garnished with orange slices. It is a delicious treat, after spending time out in the cold."

  1. Made this for 3 of us & doubled the recipe, since I wanted a bit left over to have COLD the next day, & as much as we enjoy a hot cider, it was every bit as great tasting chilled as it had been warm! Absolutely wonderful tasting & a great keeper of a recipe! Thanks for sharing it! [Made & reviewed in 1-2-3 Hits Tag]

  2. What a delicious cider. I used a sugar free cranberry juice and omitted the blood orange since there weren't any available in the supermarket. The rest of the recipe was prepared as written. It makes a lot more than 2 servings so I'll be able to warm some up to enjoy later this week. Made for Photo Tag.

  3. A clever and DELICIOUS drink! It takes a little preparation time, but it is worth it! I used pineapple nectar and cranberry nectar, which is thinner than 100% juice - but still great for this mixed drink. My only sub was NO orange slices - I had used all my oranges in my home-made Christmas cake and mincemeat! This was really lovely - Christmas in a mug, and it is on my menu for the Festive period. I plan to make it before I need to serve it, and then heat it up gently on my woodburning stove! AMAZING, it's the spices that make this so tangy and different to other hot cider drinks! Thanks BK! Made as a special Fairy Dust thank you for MsSally in Holiday Tag. FT:-)

  4. I grabbed a Five alive juice instead of the pineapple and used a cranberry/mixed berry blend and this was still DELICIOUS. Love the addition of spices and it smells wonderful. Will be putting this in a crockpot on low while we are hunting for our Christmas tree. Thanks for a great recipe Baby Kato Made for Photo Tag Dec 2008
