Brazilian Sunset

"I purchased a bottle of Brazilian cachaca during the holidays, but I only had one cocktail recipe that included cachaca. So I started looking for other cachaca-based cocktail recipes. That's how I stumbled upon this Brazilian drink in "The Bartender's Guide", and I really liked it. It's fruity, sweet and quite refreshing."

  1. I liked how fruity this was, but I'm embarassed to say that this hit me really hard. I haven't had cachaca in years, and I had forgotten how strong it is (for someone who really doesn't drink, anyway lol). Glad I splurged on the more expensive cachaca, because it was really smooth. I would definitely make this again (especially now that I'm the proud owner of a big ol' bottle of cachaca), but I think I would need to cut it with a bit more fruit juice to make this a bit less dangerous for the alco-weenie that I am, lol. Thanks for posting! Made for the Emerald City Shakers for ZWT7

  2. I loved this drink. I didn't use the full amount of grenadine. I just put a little bit without measuring. It was so yummy. Thanks NorthwestGal :) Made for Count Dracula and His Hot Bites for ZWT7

This site used to be awesome. It was at the top of its game when it was called Recipezaar, but that was many years ago. The site was purchased by Scripps and belly-flopped into mediocrity. A few of the faithful members remained, hoping to wait out the storm of corporate nonsense. But alas, it never got better and just continued on its terminal path to nothingness. So most of the loyal members have vanished and made homes at better recipe sites.
