Brown Sugar-lemon Cocktail Sauce

"My fiance says that this is the best cocktail sauce he's ever had. The key is to use a good-quality storebought chili sauce (I like "Homade"), or make your own. I like the little bite from wasabi powder, and the slight tang from the lemon juice, which offsets the sweet brown sugar."

  1. Just finished making this. My husband brought home some HUGE shrimp and we were out of cocktail sauce and didn't have horseradish. The only change I made was to use BBQ sauce since I didn't have chili sauce. Tastes great - love the wasabi in it!

  2. This is terrific! We were looking for a cocktail sauce that used wasabi instead of regular horseradish, and this was it. We used 2 tsp wasabi paste, and 2 tsp Vietnamese chili-garlic sauce instead of the powder and chili sauce, respectively. A delicious quick fix with our shrimp! Thanks for posting.
